Creative Fridays: Embellished Hanging Plaques

6 Feb

Happy Friday everyone! There are so many things I want to share with you today!
The first is these darling, free blog buttons. I found out about them through Armelle – a lil bit of everything. They are made by a cute blogger at oh, hello friend.
Click here for the buttons! Aren’t they cute???

There are so many giveaways going on right now. Go over to Be Different…Act Normal and comment to be entered for a free blog redesign by Smitten Blog Designs.
Smitten also has FREE blog templates you can download which are so cute!

Be Different…Act Normal also has a giveaway for these cute little bees, here is the link.

And finally, Kimba at A Soft Place to Land is giving away one of these delightful button brooches here.

I am still working on the storage solution I have for Ella’s room. So I will save that to share next week.

I finished my giveaway prizes for my Craft It Forward giveaway. I used reproduction pictures of little children, vintage music sheets and buttons, beads and glittered them up. I had such a fun time making them!!! I made an extra one to give away to you!

(they are kind of hard to see – but if you click on the picture you can see the details better)

1. Blush

2. Grow
3. Faith
4. Love
5. Past

Which one should I give away?
Have a wonderful weekend!

Me, organized??

1 Dec

Well, we got our new carpet — yeah! It was a hectic week last week. It basically consisted of me painting my office before the carpeting came, and also going through and cleaning out all of our closets; then moving all of our furniture from one end of the house to the other over the course of two days. And then the following day my sister and her family came from Idaho for Thanksgiving. We had a great time.

After moving everything out of my office I decided that maybe it’s time that I try to get my office organized. Over the weekend we went to IKEA and found some shelves. They look great. Then I came across this picture from Country Living.

Also, there are instructions on Country Living’s site that tell you how to make this.

I really like the idea of using pegboard in my office. It would be a way to get things organized, but I can still see where my tools are and have them within reach.

Here are the bookshelves that I put in my office. I put doors on the bottom.

Here are some more pegboard ideas:

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I will post some pictures of my craft room and pictures of our fun Thanksgiving tomorrow. Have a great night!
