Quick Update

25 Aug

The winner of the $50 Gift Card to:

 is — #207

Congratulations — send me your address and I will mail you your gift card!!!

I wanted to also let you all know that I am guest judging over at The Iron Crafter Competition over at the wonderful Fireflies and Jellybeans!!

It has a great secret ingredient this round — go over and check it out. And you have until Friday to enter. There is also a fantastic prize for the winner. So fun!!!

And finally, I put this fancy email sorter on my email a few months ago because it was getting so out of control. Well, I discovered a few days ago that it has been sending tons of legitimate emails to my spam box.

So if you have emailed me about doing a giveaway, advertising, or a question about a tutorial and never heard back from me — it’s not that I ignored your question, it is probably buried somewhere. Will you try emailing me again?? Thanks — you guys are the best!!!

And some updates on what I’ve been doing –

  • My Laundry Room is almost ready for the big reveal!!! I can’t wait to show you. I found a vintage iron chandelier on Craigslist in Massachusetts that someone had scored at an estate sale in New Hampshire. I had them ship it to me and it was a great deal!!

  • I have a BUNCH of Halloween projects that I have either finished or I’m in the process of making. I am so excited to share those too! One is for a really fun party that starts next week over at eighteen25!

And, be sure to check out my sidebar for my giveaways this week. I will be announcing the winner of the Along For The Ride $25 gift certificate tomorrow night. And the Modern Bird Studios FANTASTIC {$215} Custom Artwork giveaway is still going strong – go enter — you will love it!!!!

A wonderful Beadboard Guest Project is coming up in the morning!

Decoupage: Little Seaside Boxes

1 Jun

I made some little decoupage seaside boxes that I gave my mom and mother-in-law for Mother’s Day. I found some adorable framed pendants that I wrapped up inside. My mom keeps her little box in her bedroom.

{I attached seashells and vintage buttons to the top using Gorilla Glue}

Have a creative day!

Creative Fridays: Chalkboard Projects

29 May

Ok, I know these projects have been around the block here in blogland, but they have been on my to-do list for awhile and I finally got them done.

I found this cute platter at my local thrift store for $1.

{I hung it on my front door for now.
Repainting this door is on my list of things to do this Summer.}

I don’t know where I first saw this project done. I loved the idea of a chalkboard wall somewhere in my home, but couldn’t find a wall that would work. I painted the door to my food pantry and now I have a place where I can put reminders in the kitchen. I also painted the bottom panel so the kids could decorate it.

Have a Fantastic Friday and a super weekend!
